S. Dow
is a Principal and Vice President of Cordjia Capital Projects
Group with over twenty-five years experience specializing in
consulting, facilities management, program and project
management, and design in the building industry.
Curtis leads the efforts of the Project Management Office
(PMO) and defines and maintains standards for project
management within the organization.
His experience in providing the source for guidance,
documentation, and metrics related to the practices involved
in managing and implementing projects has contributed to the
success of the organization.
Curtis excels in developing and reporting on project
activities, problems, and requirements to executive management
as a strategic tool in keeping implementers and decision
makers moving toward consistent, business- or mission-focused
goals and objectives.
Curtis has managed the successful delivery of more than four
hundred diverse
projects ranging up to $100 million in construction value.
He has participated in the delivery of projects
totaling over 4.5 million square feet with a total development
cost of over $1.5 billion .
He has been recognized for his ability to lead design
teams on projects of virtually every building type and of
varying levels of complexity, and in locations throughout
North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Curtis leads all facets of cost management focusing on cost
estimating, life cycle costing, claims evaluation, bid
evaluation, and forecasting market drivers.
He provides detailed, objective cost reporting that
represents the scope, complexity, and quality expected by our
clients.
Prior to being a Principal and founding member of Cordjia
Capital Projects Group, Curtis was Vice President of an
architectural and engineering consulting group over a four
year period. Before this, he was a Vice President within the
credit card industry for over a ten year period, with his last
assignment as a primary team member in the delivery of
development projects for a Fortune 300 company.
Curtis attended the University of Maine at Orono where he
studied Civil Engineering.
He is a member of the Project Management Institute and
Construction Specification Institute.
