Mark A. Blair
is a Principal and Vice President of Mechanical and Electrical
Engineering Services of Cordjia Capital Projects Group with
over twenty-five years of progressive engineering, consulting,
facility management, and leadership experience.
Mark is responsible for leading growth in the sustainable
building performance management services area, which focuses
on design, building automation systems and controls, building
commissioning, building energy performance solutions, and
facility operations.
He manages all aspects of these services to support
facility administrators and managers with comprehensive
assessments, recommendations, and implementation processes
that will enable energy savings, systems control and
performance improvements, and capital investment strategies
oriented towards streamlining systems efficiency while
reducing energy consumption and green house gas emissions.
Mark was responsible for the full implementation and daily
operation of building automation and control systems for over
1.5 million square feet of facilities while managing the
successful delivery of capital projects ranging in
construction value up to $10 million in North America.
Working with other colleagues, Mark has delivered time
sensitive projects and upgrades in critical environments
without causing any interruption to client operations.
He supports the full integration of building automation
and control systems creating energy efficiency, reducing
maintenance costs, and improving equipment life span.
Mark has expertise in
developing and implementing facilities engineering
standards. His considerable experience provides a broad base
of knowledge in managing people, portfolios, projects, and
facility operations.
Prior to joining Cordjia Capital Projects Group, Mark was the
Owner and President of Automated Energy Services, a
Maine-based consulting firm specializing in building
automation, facility maintenance and energy reduction.
Before this, he held senior level positions at several Fortune
500 companies. He
has also worked in many different industries starting as an
engineering officer in the merchant marines, test engineer in
shipyards, technical repair engineer for nuclear submarines,
supervisor of power plant operations, facility operations
director, and general manager.
Mark attended Maine Maritime Academy where he attained a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Engineering.
He holds a State of Maine Limited Masters Electrical
License and is a Licensed State of Maine Second Class
Stationary Engineer.
